UAE resident checking a government document online through the UAE Verify platform
Checking an official paper in the UAE no longer needs a stamped copy or a trip to a government office. UAE Verify, the national platform run by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), lets people and companies confirm a document is real in seconds.

As of November 2026, the platform has issued more than 42.9 million trusted digital documents. Over 1.25 million documents have been checked through it since it started in January 2022.

1. What Is UAE Verify?

UAE Verify is an online platform that confirms if a government document is real, valid and unchanged. The check comes straight from the entity that issued the document, so there is no middle step and no paper copy.

It serves three main groups:

• Individuals who need to share proof, such as a certificate or license
• Private companies that receive documents from clients or staff
• Government entities that issue documents and want them accepted online

Government entities can also join UAE Verify as partners. Once they join, they can add their own documents to the platform, which is why the list of supported papers keeps getting longer.

2. Key Numbers at a Glance

UAE Verify launched in January 2022. Since then, it has issued 42.926 million trusted digital documents and verified 1.252 million documents.

The platform now supports 88 types of digital documents. These come from 32 federal and local government entities across the UAE.

These figures are totals since launch, not numbers for 2026 alone.
3. How Fast the Platform Is Growing

Date Documents Issued Document Types Entities
May 2025 21.8 million 55 22
January 2026 30.7 million 66 25
May 2026 34.5 million 78 29
November 2026 42.9 million 88 32

In about 18 months, the number of issued documents almost doubled, and 10 more government entities joined. Between May and November 2026 alone, around 8.4 million new documents were added.

Checks are rising too. The platform had verified about 948,000 documents by January 2026. That number passed 1.05 million in May 2026 and reached 1.252 million by November 2026.

4. How to Verify a Document in 4 Steps

• Get the document. Request a Trusted Digital Document from a UAE Verify partner entity or through the UAE PASS app.
• Share it. Send it to the person or company that needs it, using any digital channel.
• Upload it. The receiver uploads the file to the UAE Verify platform.
• Get the result. The platform confirms the document is authentic, complete and valid, using the official source. The receiver can also scan the document’s QR code with UAE PASS.

5. Why Blockchain Matters Here

UAE Verify runs on blockchain technology. In simple words, this is a shared digital record that is encrypted and cannot be changed in secret. Every copy of the record must match, so a fake or edited document fails the check right away.

According to TDRA, this setup lets the platform test a document’s authenticity, integrity and validity in real time. The platform can also turn regular documents into trusted digital ones while keeping personal data protected.

6. What This Means for Residents and Businesses

• Less paper: no need to request certified hard copies
• Faster checks: employers, banks and landlords can confirm papers directly from the source
• Lower fraud risk: edited or fake files are flagged by the system
• Easy sharing: one digital file works across many digital platforms

Sectors that handle large volumes of paperwork, such as property, HR and company formation, stand to save the most time.
7. Part of a Bigger Digital Push

UAE Verify was launched under the UAE Digital Government Roadmap 2021 to 2025, which aimed for fully digital government services. It also supports the national Government Services Strategy by making services easier to reach and building trust between the government and the public.

In 2026, TDRA also started a program to help government entities connect digital identity services to their systems more securely. The goal is to link services better and make government transactions easier to finish.

TDRA’s 2026 Digital Government Customer Satisfaction Survey ranked the UAE first in the world for satisfaction with digital government services at 89%, and first for usage at 53%.

With 32 entities and 88 document types already on board, UAE Verify is set to play a bigger role in how residents and businesses share official papers in the years ahead.

DLD Launches AI Initial Registration Platform for Developers

Dubai Land Department Launches AI Platform to Streamline Developer Registration Dubai Land Department (DLD) launched a new platform called Initial Registration on 3 September 2026. Mustafa Al Rifai, Senior Manager at Dubai Land Department, told WAM that the platform cuts data entry work by up to 80 percent. A registration that used to take about 30 minutes can now be done in under five minutes when it meets DLD rules. off-plan projects in Dubai What the Platform Does Before this, a developer used a different system for each step. The same details were typed in more than once. Developers, DLD and escrow banks all worked from separate records. Now the three steps sit in one journey. Information typed once is reused across linked systems. DLD says this cuts the gaps between sales records, escrow records and ownership records. Messages and follow-ups also happen inside the platform. Developers no longer need to visit an office, call, or send emails to check on a file.

Wynn Al Marjan Island resort under construction in Ras Al Khaimah, opening September 2027

Wynn Al Marjan Island Opening Date Confirmed for 2027

Wynn Al Marjan Island Confirms September 2027 Opening What It Means for RAK Property Investors Wynn Resorts has confirmed the opening date for Wynn Al Marjan Island. The UAE’s first casino resort is scheduled to welcome guests in September 2027, giving investors a clearer timeline for Ras Al Khaimah’s next major growth phase. The company announced the date during its second-quarter 2026 earnings call and confirmed that construction has entered the final stages on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah. For property investors monitoring the emirate, the importance is clear. A confirmed opening date removes a major uncertainty that has influenced pricing and market expectations on Al Marjan Island since the project was announced. It also provides a clearer outlook for the investment activity expected over the next two years. A Confirmed Opening Date and Revised Project Budget The September 2027 opening represents a delay of around six months from the earlier early-2027 target. Wynn attributed the adjustment to regional challenges that affected shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz, impacting material deliveries and increasing construction costs. The increased costs have changed the project’s estimated value. Wynn previously estimated the development cost at $5.1 billion (AED 18.7 billion). During the earnings call, the company confirmed an increase of approximately $600 million, bringing the total estimated cost to around $5.7 billion. Wynn Resorts holds a 40% stake in the joint venture, alongside Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding. The company contributed $48.1 million during Q2 2026, bringing its total cash investment to $1.06 billion. Management confirmed that construction is progressing rapidly, while pre-opening recruitment and operational preparations are already underway.

Groundbreaking ceremony of Janu Al Marjan Island by Marjan, Wynn Resorts and Aman Group in Ras Al Khaimah, opening 2029

Janu Al Marjan Island: Wynn & Aman Group Break Ground on New Luxury Landmark in Ras Al Khaimah

A New Luxury Chapter Opens on Al Marjan Island Marjan and Wynn Resorts have officially broken ground on Janu Al Marjan Island, a new luxury hotel and branded residential development scheduled to open in 2029. The ceremony marks the formal start of construction on a project first announced in November 2025 and confirms it as the second joint venture between Marjan and Wynn Resorts on Al Marjan Island. The waterfront development sits directly adjacent to Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE's first integrated gaming resort, currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2027 with 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining and entertainment venues, a beach club, a luxury marina and a 15,000 square metre retail promenade. A Design Led Waterfront Development Designed by internationally acclaimed SCDA Architects, Janu Al Marjan Island will combine three core pillars in one destination: • A luxury hotel • Janu branded residences • Wellness led experiences and social amenities The name "Janu" is derived from the Sanskrit word for "soul", and the brand's philosophy is built around wellbeing, meaningful connection and vibrant social experiences, making it a natural fit for Ras Al Khaimah's fast growing luxury tourism identity. Backed by Three Global Names The project brings together three major names in global real estate and hospitality: • Marjan, Ras Al Khaimah's master developer • Wynn Resorts, the US based integrated resort operator • Aman Group, the ultra luxury hospitality group behind the Janu sibling brand Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, Group CEO of Marjan, described the launch as an important milestone in the long term vision for Al Marjan Island as a globally recognised waterfront destination. Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said Janu is a natural complement to the neighbouring Wynn development and expects a strong connection between guests and residents of both properties. Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, said Ras Al Khaimah is a natural fit for the brand as it expands across emerging luxury tourism destinations. Janu opened its debut hotel, Janu Tokyo, in Azabudai Hills in March 2024. Its confirmed global pipeline now includes Dubai, AlUla (Saudi Arabia), Montenegro, Turks & Caicos, the Maldives, Portugal, Thailand, South Korea and Ras Al Khaimah, making Janu Al Marjan Island the brand's second Middle East destination after Janu Dubai.

Dubai family visit visa guide 2026 — sponsoring relatives and claiming A Dubai Invite rewards worth over Dh3,000

Dubai Family Visit Visa 2026: Sponsor Relatives + Claim Dh3,000 Rewards

Two Systems, Not One: Know the Difference If you're bringing family to Dubai this summer, two separate things are in play. Most coverage blurs them together, and it costs people money. • The visit visa: Your relative's legal permission to enter, issued by GDRFA Dubai. You pay for this. • A Dubai Invite: A rewards campaign from Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). Free to join. It pays you back. The critical point: A Dubai Invite does not arrange visas. Visitors are responsible for obtaining their own visa, or qualifying for visa-on-arrival. Sort the visa first, then register for the rewards separately. Part 1: Sponsoring the Visit Visa Any UAE resident with a valid residence visa and Emirates ID can sponsor. What you must earn depends on how you're related. Minimum monthly income (set by ICP): • Dh4,000: First-degree relatives (parent, spouse, son, daughter). • Dh8,000: Second-degree relatives (siblings, grandparents, grandchildren) and third-degree relatives (uncle, aunt, cousins). Visa fees (single entry): • 30 days: Dh200 • 60 days: Dh300 • 90 days: Dh400 Visa fees (multiple entry): • 30 days: Dh300 • 60 days: Dh500 • 90 days: Dh700 These exclude 5% VAT, medical insurance, and service charges. You'll also pay a refundable deposit: Dh1,000 for single-entry and Dh2,000 for multiple-entry. Documents you'll need: • Sponsor's Emirates ID and passport copy. • Visitor's passport (valid for at least six months) and a passport-sized photograph. • Proof of income. • Accommodation details. • Relationship documents, where applicable. Apply through GDRFA Dubai Smart Services, the GDRFA app, UAE Pass, Amer Centres, or Customer Happiness Centres. Most applications are processed within 48 hours. Once issued, your guest must enter the UAE within 60 days. Stays are capped at 120 days per year. Extensions are possible from inside the UAE, subject to approval. ICP has confirmed a one-time 30-day extension costing Dh750. Demand is heavy. GDRFA Dubai issued 29,456 relatives and friends visit visas in the first half of 2026 alone. Part 2: Claiming Dh3,000+ Through A Dubai Invite DET's new city ambassador programme rewards residents whose overseas guests arrive between 20 July and 31 October 2026. You qualify if: • You're a UAE resident or citizen aged 18 or over. • You hold a valid Emirates ID. • Your guest is not a UAE resident and arrives from overseas within the campaign period by air, sea, or road. How it works: • Register your guest's details on the official online nomination form before they arrive. • Your guest travels to Dubai. • Their arrival is verified automatically. You don't need to notify DET. • You receive a reward email within 72 hours with redemption instructions. Rewards are being issued from August 2026. The rules that catch people out: • Nominate up to five visitors per submission. Submit additional forms if you have more guests. • Maximum three reward packages per resident across the entire campaign. • Each visitor can be nominated only once. If someone else registered them first, your nomination won't qualify. • Register before your guest arrives. Late entries are not accepted. What's inside? Hotel stays, dining offers, attraction tickets, and lifestyle perks worth over Dh3,000. Participating brands include W Dubai Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi, Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Meliá Desert Palm, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Careem, and Hala. Most rewards remain valid until 31 December 2026, unless an individual offer states otherwise. Exact perks vary depending on availability. Your Action Plan • Confirm you meet the income threshold for your relationship. • Apply for the visa early. Allow enough time for processing and the 60-day entry window. • Register your guest on the nomination form before they travel. • Ensure they arrive in Dubai before 31 October 2026. The campaign closes on 31 October. Once you factor in visa processing and flight arrangements, it's best to begin the process well before the deadline.
